I did not even know electric blankets were being used any longer. I remember my mother having one when I was a kid, but it was scratchy and never really appealled to me. But, I was wrong! This blanket is amazing. It is soft and easy to use and in the coldest days of winter (in Upstate New York that is Thanksgiving through March!) I keep it on the bed and just hit pre-heat a few minutes before I go into bed. I used some double sided heavy duty tape to keep the control still on the nightstands (it is a bit light weight and kept falling off the table). When I get into bed it is toasty warm. I put the blanket between the sheet and under a down comforter and it is fantastic. My husband likes it cooler than I do so the dual controls are perfect. Being a retired person with disabilities, I need the blanket on all the time. It heats well, as do most Sunbeams of which I've had several. However, I really dislike the material it's made of. The main problem is it slides all over the bed and both the sheet and bedspread go in different directions from the blanket. I almost have to remake the bed every day. I've never had this happen with any other blanket. Had I had any other choices, I would've returned this. I also don't like that it's not finished off with binding at the top and bottom. Seems cheap. |
