I understand the criticisms in the other reviews, but given it's safety, the pros far outweigh the cons. My husband and I have adapted to the warming time by turning it on well before bedtime which ensures a wonderfully warm bed when we get in!! It doesn't take as long to warm up if you are in bed when you turn it on, but we prefer a toasty bed to climb into! We have had the blanket for years and LOVE it...we are purchasing another for our youngest son, who tends to be cold, like me.
